A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to invalid email addresses under the same domain name. For instance, a message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive messages from colleagues or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at some point you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be received in a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

Setting up a catch-all mailbox will be very easy in case you have a web hosting plan with our company. You can activate this feature through our advanced, albeit user-friendly Email Manager, which is built into the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll manage your shared web hosting account. You’ll see all the email addresses that you’ve set up listed alphabetically and next to each of them there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately show you whether a certain mailbox gets all the emails for a given domain or not. With a single mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this feature at any time. In case there is enabled email forwarding or if another mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a certain domain, you’ll get a warning from our system. The latter won’t deactivate/replace anything automatically or without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You’ll be able to set up a catch-all address with no more than one click if you have a semi-dedicated hosting plan with our company and your email messages are handled by our cloud hosting platform. All the addresses that you set up with any domain hosted in your account will be displayed in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a mini "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to activate this functionality will be to click on that icon. In the exact same manner you’ll be able to remove the feature, in case you do not need it anymore. Our system will let you know if you’re trying to activate a second catch-all address for a certain domain or in case there is enabled email forwarding, but it will never modify or deactivate any feature automatically or without your permission.
